Bush Bean/ Snap Bean / Dry Bean
Why do we like this bean?
Because Provider will provide you with an abundance of food, early in the season, with little effort. If you want to know ‘for-sure, for-sure, without-a-doubt’ that you will have beans in your garden, Provider is your bean. Since its introduction in 1966 by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), Provider has been one of the most popular beans in North America. Provider is a great bean under adverse conditions (either heat or cold conditions). It is excellent for fresh eating, canning and freezing. And if you let the pods mature, you can use the dry beans for soups and stews over winter.
How to Plant: Plant bean seeds in the spring when the soil warms up. For us that is the end of May. Space seeds 3 inches or so apart and sow 1 inch or so deep. Thin to 6 inches apart once seedlings are up.You can also start bean seeds indoors about 2-3 weeks before you want to plant them outside to get a head start on things.
Within Canada only shipping on beans, thank you.
