How to Plant: Sow seeds in the garden mid-May or so (even before the last frost) and barely cover with soil. You can also start Cosmos indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. To start indoors, press seeds into the soil and barely cover with soil. Keep soil moistened and place container in a warm place. A heat mat helps to keep soil warm.
