Dianthus plumarius

A lovely fragrant cottage pink. Sweetness is a compact plant (4 to 6 inches) with small flowers ranging from light pink to dark pink and white flowers, and silvery green grass-like foliage, that will flower all summer.

Sweetness is easy to grow from seed and will flower in its first year (if started indoors around the beginning of March or earlier). Like the other Dianthus we carry, Sweetness is low maintenance, hardy and Perennial in Zone 3 and up.

In case you are wondering, the main difference between Sweetness and Cheddar Pinks is that Sweetness has more of a range of pink-coloured flowers, as well as white flowers. Whereas Cheddar Pinks are deep pink, and slightly more fragrant.
