A mild hot pepper.
There is something very satisfying about growing your own jalapenos.
Beautiful glossy green peppers are perfect for salsas, dips, stews, pizza, etc. This variety is early and does well in short summers. Plants are a stocky 2 ft and grow best in a container (5 gallon). Very easy to grow, but make sure to place in a warm spot.
How to Plant: Similar to tomatoes start indoors 8 weeks before the date of last frost. Sow seeds 5mm (¼ inch) deep in individual pots. A heat mat will help germination. Transplant outside when nighttime temperatures are consistently 10C or warmer. Early Jalapeno does great in a 3 to 5 gallon pot.
