We are always on the lookout for black tomatoes that ripen early and taste great. Black Iceberg fits the bill.
This is an excellent black beefsteak tomato with beautiful, ribbed fruit of brick red/dark chocolate colour. The large fruits (150 g to 250 g) have a sweet, rich taste.
Black Iceberg is one of the first large tomatoes to ripen in our garden and produces all summer.
Plants are healthy looking and 3.5 ft to 4 ft tall.
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Keep moist. When true leaves appear, transplant to a larger container if needed. Transplant outside after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
