This is a beautiful glossy mahogany cherry tomato which a rich, complex sweet taste. Unripe tomatoes are an artistic satin pink with green stripes and then ripen mahogany-coloured with green striping. The tomatoes live up to their name–a vernissage is a private screening of an art exhibit before a public exhibition. Black vernissage will definitely remind you of art. The large cherry tomatoes (2oz/60gr) produce midseason and continues right up until the first frost.
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Keep moist. When true leaves appear, transplant to a larger container if needed. Transplant outside after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
