This is a beautiful glossy mahogany cherry tomato with a rich, complex sweet taste.
The unripe tomatoes are an artistic satin pink with green stripes (see second picture) and then ripen to mahogany with green striping (first picture).
The tomatoes live up to their name — a ‘vernissage’ is a private screening of an art exhibit before a public exhibition. Black vernissage is definitely an artful creation. The large cherry tomatoes (2oz/60g) produce midseason and continues right up until the first frost.

How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Keep moist. When true leaves appear, transplant to a larger container if needed. Transplant outside after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
