A fantastic paste tomato with huge production.
This is a beautiful, rustic tomato from the backyard garden of Domenico D., a dear family member of ours. Stewarded in Northern Ontario (Thunder Bay) from the 1970s-2000s but originating in Italy. Huge, meaty great tasting Cuore di Bue-type tomatoes that are perfect for sauce, salsa, stew, or ratatouille. 4 ft plants are loaded with tomatoes.
In our 2025 garden, most of our Domenico tomatoes ranged in size from 205 g to 368 g (7 oz to 12 oz). You will also get some smaller, rounder tomatoes ranging in size from 110g to 150g.
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Keep moist. When true leaves appear, transplant to a larger container if needed. Transplant outside after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
