We love the name of this tomato! Flavour Steak is the creation of master tomato breeder Tim Peters (Oregon) who introduced it in the 1990s — but it has now become hard to find.
True to its unique name, Flavour Steak is a very good tasting medium beefsteak tomato. The hardy 4ft plants are also unique for their potato leaves. Here is a description of Flavour Steak from Tatiana’s Tomatobase:
“Indeterminate, potato leaf, high yield of red ruffled fruits, 6-12 oz, very beautiful. Very good acidic flavor, meaty and juicy. Bred by Peters Seed and Research and released in 1994.”

How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Transplant after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
