The colours of Magic Bullet tomato will remind you of a kaleidoscope! But this beautiful tomato is more than just looks.
Magic Bullet is also a delicious and high-yielding tomato. The hardy plants (5 ft to 6 ft) produce early and then keep producing throughout the season, right up until the first frost.
We love how the seed savers at Adaptive Seeds (Oregon) describe its flavour: “It’s as if all the colors and flavors of giant heirlooms and sweet cherry tomatoes are concentrated into a two-bite explosive package! Or if gushers candies were actually good, 10 x larger, and tasted like tomatoes.”
This is a fantastic creation by the duo of Kanti Rawal and Steve Peters – independent breeders who also created another wonderful tomato in our collection — Rosita Brandywine Cherry. They bred Magic Bullet in dry farming conditions of the Eel River Valley, California so it should do well in low water conditions.
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Transplant after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
