This early, hardy, productive tomato was originally found growing wild in Punta Banda, California by the seed savers at Native Seed Search. Which gives you a sense of its superior genetics. This is an almost effortless tomato to grow that will reward you with high yields of gold ball sized red tomatoes. Taste-wise it is on the mild side, which usually excludes a tomato from our grow-list, however Punta Banda’s earliness, hardiness and productivity are outstanding, and we have given it a spot.
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Transplant after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
