We have never seen cherry tomatoes so big (20g to 35g) and sweet.
Stan’s Best Cherry is a masterpiece from the Prairie River, Saskatchewan plant breeder Stanley Zubrowski. For the past 40 years, Stanley has been quietly breeding tomatoes (and clematis, petunia, and roses). Stanley first released Stan’s Best Cherry in the early 1990s through his former seed company Saskaberia Seeds.
Stan’s Best Cherry is a mid to late season cherry tomato (they ripen nicely indoors if needed). Plants are healthy and vigorous growers getting to about 4 to 5 ft tall. See the photo of a very robust seedling of Stan’s Best Cherry.
Stanley specializes in creating great tasting tomatoes that thrive in low-input, short season conditions. Exactly what home gardeners need!
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Transplant after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
