This is a wonderful Tim Peters’ tomato. We are always so happy to find tomatoes developed by this master American plant breeder. Our original seedstock came from the Seed Savers Exchange (USA) with the ‘name’ PSR 546. The PSR stands for Peters Seed Research and 546 is the accession number given to the tomato by Tim Peters. But our nickname for this tomato is: ‘Tim Peters Sweet 100 Type’, based on Tim’s description of PSR 546 in the 1995 Garden Seed Inventory. Here is what he wrote:
Small, Sweet 100 type fruit grows in large branching clusters, sweet, fruit flavor, crisp texture, early, PSR [Peters Seed Research].
We would love to know what name Tim thinks this tomato should have. Tim, please let us know! Check out our other Tim Peters (longkeeper) tomatoes HERE.
How to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seed 5mm (¼ inch) deep. Transplant after the danger of frost has passed/later spring.
