Physalis

We love Physalis species! Physalis species are part of the same family as tomatoes — Family Solanaceae. We have also added a couple varieties of Solanum species (the Garden Huckleberries) to this category. All of these varieties grow well in a short growing season. And all are delicious — ranging in flavour from sweet tropical citrus (Cape Gooseberry) to faint vanilla ice cream (Mrs B’s Garden Huckleberry).
