Because we live in a short-season climate (Zone 4) we are always on the lookout for short-season, hardy tomatoes that stand a chance of ripening. Fortunately, there have been some amazing tomatoes bred for these conditions both by master Canadian breeders and local gardeners. We are so happy to bring these tomatoes to you and share their stories. Even if you don’t live in a short-season climate, the early-bearing traits that have been selected for in these tomatoes will likely benefit gardeners in longer-season environments. You will just get tomatoes earlier, which is never a bad thing.
